EXPLORE A-Li-Shan NATIONAL SCENIC AREA, TAIWAN – PART 2

Monday, February 13, 2017

A-Li-Shan National Scenic Area is one example of Taiwan’s natural preservation. The vast park covers nothing but trees, lakes, and rocks. It’s like they’ve created a whole new sanctuary dedicated for small-green people we see on movies.

A preview on how amazing the place was.

Thinking, what’s a small country like Taiwan have to attract tourists to their town? All I can say is that their government really makes an effort and puts in a lot of money to truly preserve and maintain the beauty of their environment. Never underestimate the size of country to what it can present.

This means Merry Christmas in Chinese.
Also, one of the best part while trekking was the inviting freshness of the air; smoke-free, vehicles-free, and noise-free. Plus, the mist felt like you’re already on the top of the mountain.

Let's start this adventure with a selfie first! Hahaha

Here are pictures of my family’s trip.
Family selfie as we enter the woods

It was astounding! The trek would never make your feet sore because of the amazing 360 degrees view, plus the cool breezy weather complemented the wonderful experience.
This log was very hard to climb, it's bigger than it seems to look
Let's get deep into the woods...
Meet their Millennium Tree...
Also, meet our goofy faces..

I think my sister was unknowingly imitating the guy behind us. Hahaha
Another family selfie!!! I wonder what caught my dad's attention. Hahaha

Last but not the least, the huge temple at the end of the map. There are buses parked nearby for easy departure, or you can walk your  way out, whichever you prefer.
Of course, you should never forget to buy a few souvenirs.

Tips:
1. I suggest taking a morning tour as it gets misty in the afternoon where the views are barely visible. It will kind of spoil your sightseeing and picture taking.
2. There will be a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
3. Bring a jacket and some water, there are no available food stalls inside the forest park, not until you reach the temple.

Yes, that's a better family picture to remember!

And another goofy family selfie to reminisce.

IT IS A MUST VISIT!
ENJOY YOUR TRIP GUYS!

The wall was perfect to strut a pose! :)
