UNDERARM LASER DIODE

Most of us have that infuriating underarm problems. We all wanted to achieve that white smooth underarms like that of the celebrities we see in magazines, billboards and on TV. Then after a while, we asked ourselves, "What the hell is the wrong with my kili-kili?"

I have shaved, waxed and plucked, but none of which were effective.

Early last year of 2014, I came across Skin Station in Robinsons Mall Pedro Gil, Manila, they were offering underarm laser diode at PHP5,000.00 for 8 sessions. I was very eager to do something with my underarms, so I purchased a package. I think the price is reasonable enough. 1 session on the package would cost PHP625.00 only, compared to purchasing per session of PHP1,500.00.

There are pre-laser procedures before the treatment:

1. A week before your appointment, you are discouraged to pluck, shave or wax your underarms. I know it can be difficult, but they will shave it for you along with the laser treatment.
2. On the day of your appointment, I suggest you don't apply any whitening cream or deodorant as they will also wiped it out.

The underarm laser treatment will only take 15 minutes for both underarms.

1. They will give you time to prep up; remove your shirt and cover up with a towel. Or, if you're hesitant do that, wear something that easily expose your underarms.
2. Once your settled, they will cleanse your underarms with soap and water.
3. They will let you wear a pair of shades to keep the laser radiation from your eyes.
4. Then, a cold gel will be applied to your underarms and the laser session begins. You will feel a light piercing feeling, and a hot sensation during the process. This is the laser heating up the roots of the hair, but don't worry the feeling is tolerable. However if the feeling is unbearable, you can speak up so the staff can apply more gel.
5. After the treatment, they will wipe out the gel and apply an anti-inflammatory cream. The cream is to prevent any itchiness you may feel. They have persuaded me to buy one, but I never did.
6. You will be advised not to wash your underarms for 6 hours as it is still recovering from the laser treatment.

You will be scheduled 6 weeks after every session.

Likewise, a week after every treatment, hairs will slightly grow back, but you can pull it out with your fingers or they will just fall off. Do not shave, wax or pluck when you notice that the hairs do not come off especially on the 1st to 4th session. It's normal as the hair roots are still a bit thick, so CONTROL YOURSELF! Otherwise, all your hard work will be put to waste.

Do not expect fast results though, it will take a number of sessions, depending on your hair type, to lessen the hair growth and make the hair roots thinner. But you can really see good results after every session. 

I have already consumed my first 8-session package last March 2015. I wanted to continue my laser treatment so I bought another 8-session package. I am on my 5th session now, and so far so good, I'm very much loving the result. I have not waxed, plucked or shaved for almost 2 years now.

Be very patient, and follow the all the necessary procedures, it's all worth it. You'll soon have that hair-free underarms, and you can finally wear that sleeveless top you've been saving for a while.
