Purefoods has gathered and brought the bacon lovers around the metro to the 26th Street Corner 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City last Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6pm to 3am for its Bacon Festival. The date of the event landed on a weekday holiday, so family, and friends got the chance to enjoy the festival.
There was no registration fee so anyone can just come and go as they please. We arrived at the venue 30 minutes early, so we got to take pictures while the stalls were preparing for the food.

Too bad the bacon was already sold out

If you want to spice things up with your ice cream, why not try the Liquid Nitrogen ice cream?
We didn't realize that the small bunch of group we saw earlier turned into a mob. The tables and chairs were not enough to accommodate everyone, so others just sat on the grass outside the tent to eat.
This was the crowd 30 minutes earlier
And this is the crowd after 15-30 minutes
We roamed around and patiently waited for other people to finish eating so we can finally sit. We took turns on guarding our sit, while others search for food.
The next challenge was even the food stalls were packed with people and so ordering food also came a bit of a challenge.
Though the event was Bacon Festival, only 2 or 3 stalls out of 40 to 50 stalls were cooking bacon. Two of which were already sold out and only one stall left standing -- Manila Q.
Since Manila Q was the only shop left selling bacon, the line of people went on and on. We went to the event for the bacon, so what's the essence if we will try other food? So we patiently waited for our turn so we can finally order.
After XX hours I can no longer remember, we finally got to eat.

Overall, the experience was more tiring than fun. My expectations were not met, and it was a bit disappointing that other shops forgot the event was BACON FEST, and not lutong bahay ulam. I think Purefoods should check the menus of the shops before they allow them to participate, and they should have set up more tables and chairs to accommodate everyone.
Maybe next time, the event will turn out to be better.
I am not trying to discourage anyone, but be advised to come early to find good seats. The venue is not air-conditioned so wear something comfortable. For girls with long hair, I suggest you tie your hair to a bun or just keep your hair away from the face. Bring a hanky or bimpo, and a fan or “pamaypay”.
